Selection Process and Physical Standards
Selection will be conducted in three phases. Phase I includes online objective test based on Science or RAGA subjects. Phase II includes Physical Fitness Test with 1.6 km run (7 minutes for males and 8 minutes for females), push-ups, sit-ups, and squats along with Adaptability Tests. Phase III includes detailed medical examination including blood, urine, biochemistry tests and ECG. One mark is awarded for each correct answer and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
Salary and Terminal Benefits
Monthly package starts from ₹30,000 in first year and increases to ₹40,000 in fourth year. 70% salary is paid monthly and 30% is deposited in Agniveer Corpus Fund. After completing four years, approximately ₹10.04 lakh Seva Nidhi package (excluding interest) will be given. Life insurance cover of ₹48 lakh is provided during service period.
Mandatory Medical and General Standards
• Minimum height 152 cm for males and females (relaxation for North East/Hilly regions and Lakshadweep)
• Weight should be proportionate to height and age
• Permanent tattoos are not allowed except specific permitted areas
