Application Fee
General Category (Male) and DESM (Male) of Haryana must pay ₹1000. Female candidates of all categories and reserved category male candidates of Haryana must pay ₹250. PwBD candidates (with 40% or more disability) of Haryana are exempted from fee. Fee must be paid online through Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
Age Limit of Candidate – HPSC HCS Recruitment 2026
For DSP post minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 27 years. For all other posts minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 42 years as on 1 January 2026.
Age Relaxation for Applicants
Age relaxation is applicable as per Haryana Government rules. SC and Backward Classes of Haryana get 5 years relaxation. Widowed, legally divorced and unmarried women get 5 years relaxation. PwBD candidates get 5 to 10 years relaxation with maximum age limit up to 52 years. Ex-Servicemen get relaxation equal to military service plus 3 years.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern
Selection will be conducted in three stages. Stage I is Preliminary Examination which is objective type screening test consisting of General Studies and CSAT papers. Stage II is Main Written Examination which is descriptive type consisting of six papers totaling 600 marks. Stage III is Personality Test / Interview of 75 marks to evaluate candidate suitability for public service. There is 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer in Prelims.
Physical Standard for DSP: Male height must be 5 feet 7 inches and female height must be 5 feet 2 inches.
